Good morning everybody.
Just installed MB v9 - sorry, IBM Integration Bus - on a windows XP, 32 bit.
Got an icon labeled "IBM Integration Console 9.0.0.0", which is the old DOS command line with "mqsiprofile.cmd" started.
Looks good.
But when I type "mqsiservice -v" to display the MB version, an error message pops up and says "mqsiservice.exe is not a valid Win32 application", and then "Access is denied" is written inside the command line.
Restarted XP few times ... no improvement.
Any ideas ?
Sebastian. |

Is Windows XP supported? Did you download the 32-bit binary or the 64-bit binary?
I don't recall seeing Windows XP in the supported list of OS. I remember seeing Windows 7. _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

Hi,
Yes, XP is not supported in IIB 9. Windows 7 is the lowest supported client version (32 or 64 bit).
Kind regards, _________________ MGK

Thanks, coleagues - I am just surprised installer did not detect such a low-level error ...
Sebastian, going back to v8 ... |

Another surprise : v9 toolkit did install properly ... under win XP ...
But can't setup "default configuration", because it runs MQSI commands from MB v9 and this step fails ...
Guess "Installation Manager" can be improved a bit ...

Does this also apply to Windows 2003? I am seeing this same behavior; even though I was able to install IIB V9. |
