Hi everyone
Just to let you know that IBM WebSphere MQ Internet Pass-Thru (also known as MQIPT) has released version 2.1 today. MQIPT is a neat little tool for routing MQ network connections securely through your firewalls. It's free of charge and is a fully supported product extension for WebSphere MQ.
New features:
- Support for TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 encryption
- Support for new SSL and TLS ciphers, including Elliptic Curve and SHA-2
- Multi-version installation and simplified install
- iKeyman and iKeycmd certificate management tools are included
- JRE is now included so that MQIPT can run "out of the box"
- Trace allows routes to be traced individually
- Updated OS/platform support
For more information, including download links, the official MQIPT SupportPac MS81 web page is here:

Thank you so much.
You did not specify, will there be support for multi -instance qmgrs?
I see the insert that says to use 2 different routes... so I guess no way to configure a single route for a multi instance qmgr yet.
Thanks _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

There is no special support for multi-instance queue managers currently. Obviously it is possible to use MQIPT with multi-instance queue managers, for example using a routing exit or by defining a pair of routes to each IP address and using a channel CONNAME which lists both MQIPT routes in a comma-separated list.
Of course we know these are not entirely convenient for all cases. To request something more, you could raise a requirement through the RFE system, as described here. _________________ Andrew Akehurst-Ryan

Done
RFE is http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=37081
For those reading this and still have V6 qmgrs in their estate, (extended support is still alive for this...), don't forget to vote for the RFE as it would also allow a V6 qmgr to communicate via MQIPT with a multi-instance qmgr. MQIPT would resolve which instance to hit, once the RFE is implemented...
Enjoy all _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
