The 290 test will be more WMQI than it will be WMQ. If all of your experience is with WMQ, you could be in trouble. I'd suggest getting a copy of the WMQI product, looking at the commands it has, building and deploying message sets/message flows.

If anybody knows or has any sample question lists, pls let me know. bower5932, thanks for the advise, iu am presently trying to install WMQI. Actually the last time i installed, when i started up the control center, it said it was unable to talk to the ConfigMgr.Is there anything specific i should do. All the processes were running. Actually, i createed all the components ConfigMgr, UserNameServer and Broker against the same Queue Manager named MQSI. Could this be the problem.

No. There's nothing wrong with installing all three components on the same machine against the same queue manager. Although it doesn't necessarily make sense in a production environment.

Everything has to be started successfully first, and you have to configure the connection to the ConfigMgr correctly. You should have received something resembling a reason why it couldnt' talk to the ConfigMgr, and possibly there are errors in your EventLog from when the ConfigMgr started up.

And IBM has a Sample Test for 290 available.

Make sure that you have the listener running for your qmgr. The ControlCenter acts as an MQ client.
