We installed MQ client 7.0.1.10 (application vendor required the 7.0.1 client) on AIX server.

Receving error:
0509-150 Dependent module libmqm_r.a(libmqm_r.o) could not be loaded.
0509-022 Cannot load module libmqm_r.a(libmqm_r.o).
0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.

When I have googled this error, I found a couple post saying to make sure your LIBPATH included /usr/mqm/lib. We did. Did not resolve issue. Then I noticed that the libmqm_r.o module is not in /usr/mqm/lib. I checked another AIX server (older version of MQ) and it is there. Any ideas?

libmqm is the server bindings module.

You can't make server bindings connections from an MQ client.

That's why it's not installed.

You need to use libmqic

Whatever program you're trying to run is either hardcoded to expect a local qmgr, or you need to configure it to make a client connection.
