Hello all,

I'm hoping someone can give me a quick answer. We need to change the userid and password that MQ uses to open channels and connect to the mainframe. We have a network of approx. 700 NT servers.

Does anyone know of a low-risk way to do this?

Are you using a client or a Queue Manager to connect to the mainframe.

The standard installation for a Queue Manager opens the channels under the userid of the MQ Service.
But the userid of a channel can can be changed by using the MCA tab in the creation window for a channel.

The userid of the client process is used, if a client connects to the mainframe.

We are using queue managers. Each server has it's own queue manager that connects to the mainframe.

We were thinking that we could run a script using AMQNSRVN to change the userid and password across the network?

Is this possible?

I am not aware about the program AMQNSRVN. What does this program? Is it from an Support Pac?
