DEFINING CHANNEL WITH SECURITY EXITS FOR THE FIRST TIME.
MQSERIES ON Z/OS

QUESTION IS DOES THIS HAVE TO BE DEFINED IN CHANNEL AND API ?

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED....

The answer is Yes and No.

The security exit is not (or should not be) visible to the application, because the security exit is an interface to the Queue Manager only.

The program that handles the security exit must use the security exit functions of the API to handle the exit call.
