Welcome to this site but please don't put your whole post in BOLD text.
This site does not resolve support tickets. We are a bunch of volunteers who have real jobs to to and help out here out of the goodness of our heart.
If you have a real problem with the product then raise a PMR. This process is fully documented on the IBM site.
If this is not what you wanted please re-phrase your question. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

You resolve production issues by applying your knowledge and your intelligence, tempered with your experience and training.
You should memorize how to run and collect user and service traces.
You should practice reading them. |

Really? I thought that understanding them was reserved for IBM L2 support and above? (L3 & Devs etc) _________________ WMQ User since 1999

I didn't say it was necessary to understand them. It's useful to be able to *read* them, however. Even if you can't tell what's actually going on, it can save time in a PMR to say "It all goes a bit wibbly-wobbly between here and here.". |

Is there a list of these terms on the IBM Support Site anywhere? Is there a definition (or recommended severity level) for "a bit wibby-wobbly" as opposed to "goes a bit nuts" or "seems frankly barking". _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I think the only phrase that's not allowed is "timey-wimey".
L3 can't handle situations when things get all timey-wimey. |

You know how, sometimes, when problems disappear *right* after you've opened the PMR for them, and you can never recreate... |

So having told Hanumeshyadav to demand some training, mentoring, peer support, and help himself with some reading and only ask here when he has a specific problem that repeated attempts to resolve and local assistance can't solve.... you have now scared him off with obscure cultural references and demonstrated that you are all slightly barking and unreliable as a form of support. |

>> unreliable as a form of support
This would imply that a two-way conversation exists between someone who has taken upon him or herself the initiative to read, learn, and understand the technology that needs supported and those of us who could help. Someone who has not even read any study guides or red books (psyc) about WMB cannot expect serious answers.
Simply posting on the internet a plea for a list of commands to run for various situations is extremely irritating to those of us who have invested in ourselves the thousands of pesos needed for training and actually worked in positions related to the technology.
So, if we are to take you and the OP seriously, we should begin a list of commands that the OP can use in production environment.
Code: |
1. format c:
2. rm *.*
|
Or, should we bold, italicize, or underline the need to osmosisize the information rather than depend for each little instance of a production situation on people who are not compensated for assisting?
Lets say for a moment we do take you seriously. And create this list of credible commands:
Code: |
mqsistartbroker
mqsistopbroker
mqsideletebroker
|
When the OP executes one of those and makes a bad production situation worse, how will the OP's employer remedy the situation?
How do you propose we should proceed here? Are you saying that the OP should not pursue the initiative to learn the skills needed? By either of the formats you cite: mentor, InfoCentre, training?
What would your answer to the OP be ? How would you respond to the original question?
The OP says: I am having 2+ years of Exp as a WebsphereMessag Broker Developer How is this even possible and s/he needs to ask for a list of commands to stop and start message flows? _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

Don't take me seriously - that is what the smiley was for. I was just enjoying the conversation but bringing the topic back to your exact point that the OP needs to help themselves because I did not have anything witty to say about time travel.
I've done the time and training and moved on and come back here because it is a topic I love (oddly) and agree with (most of) your opinions - just not quite so vehemently!

Definitely not. We should emphasizify the need to spellify our verbifications correctifically. |

You of all people should know that I'm:
- given to obscure cultural references
- slightly barking
- unreliable
