Hi,

I am pleased to announce the start of an open Beta for the first product of my new company MQGem Software. The new product is called Extended MQSC (MQSCX) and it is designed to greatly improve the usability of entering and displaying MQSC commands.

If you would like to check it out then please go to www.mqgem.com where you can download the program and the user guide. I would be interested to hear your comments.

Cheers,
Paul.

No, it's nothing to do with MQExplorer. You run it as you would the RUNMQSC program in a command windows or as a background process.

Sry to divert the topic. I saw that you are the author of Mo03 support pack.

Is there a way to get around the "file not in qload format error" i get when trying to load just a plain text file onto a queue.

I know we can copy paste a header and then make it work. But i would be great if we can generate MQMD when there is none in the message file.

Is this possible to do this? Please let me know if you have time.

Again, sry to divert the topic of this post. Thanks.

Well, I'm afraid this isn't really what MO03 is all about. You could try one of my other SupportPacs MA01 (or the Q program as it is sometimes known). This allows you to put a file as a single message. Something like...

q -oMYQUEUE -F myfile.txt

Hope this helps

Paul.

Hi,

Thank-you to all the people who tried out my MQSCX Beta program and a special thank-you to those of you who took the time and trouble to feedback your comments.

This is a quick note to let you know that a new Beta version, incorporating your comments, is now available on www.mqgem.com.

The main changes are:

• Make it clearer that any MQ installation can be managed including z/OS with QSG.
• Fixed the =where(usage = xmitq) filter
• Added the ability to specify the client connection values directly
• Fixed SSL cipher spec tabbing
• Add -w0 for single line output
• Added an AIX version
• Linux x86 has been rebuilt on an older version of Linux

Please have a play with the new versions and, of course, let me have your comments or suggestions.

Cheers,
Paul.
