Hi,

Environment :-
Windows XP profiessional - 32 bit
3 gb ram
Trial version Message broker v 8.0.0.0
WMQ v7.0

I ran the default configuration after installing WMB.
I checked the port of the default QMgr, which is MB8BROKER , was mentioned as 2414, in the script.

But after default configuration was successful, My broker was showing green but I noticed that I was not able to create any execution group. It displayed communication error.

I checked the TCP/IP port of the QMgr MB8BROKER , and it was 1414. I manually changed it to 2414 and finally I was able to create the execution group.

This was misleading .. When the default config had 2414, why was default QM created on 1414. I had wasted my whole day researching about Broker communication error ...Do you have any idea on this .
