I have great news. I just received an email from Leif Davidsen of IBM that said:

we would be happy to find a couple of technical speakers from here in Hursley to come and present on a number of sessions

I do not yet know who these speakers are nor the topics that they will be presenting on. I’ll keep you posted.

If anyone else would like to be a speaker at MQTC then please read the Call for Speakers page for more information.

All,

Chris Frank of IBM will be speaking at Capitalware's MQ Technical Conference v2.0.1.3 (MQTC). He will be presenting the following sessions at MQTC:
    - MQ Clustering
    - MQ Pub/Sub Part 1
    - MQ Pub/Sub Part 2

Well, everybody needs to put peer pressure on Jeff, as I sent him an email but he is ignoring me. Since Jeff has lots of experience with plugin development (i.e. SupportPac MS0S), he would be a prefer speaker.

I'm waiting for clearance to appear officially.

By which I mean "funding to appear officially".

No promises.

He's not ignoring you, he just hasn't dug his way through the snow drift of other emails on top of it.

I'll open the bidding with if he speaks I'll buy him drinks all night, with the added advantage of this time he won't have to put me in a cab back to my hotel while still being able to laugh as I slide slowly and gracelessly off whatever I'm sitting on....

(Those stools had ridiculously small seats you know. Anyone could have sat down and missed one.)

It'll be cheap at the price, too. I'm cutting way down these days.

But I will remind you that I drank as much as you did that night... and I didn't have any trouble keeping my seat, nor walking home...

No, and considerably less difficulty than me avoiding street furnishing while looking for a cab. I swear that tree didn't signal before it pulled out in front of me...

I have fond (if blurred) memories of that night, looking up at you apparently sober and laughing your contact admin off. I have especially clear memories of you matching me drink for drink, and indeed pulling ahead at one point.

Well, that's a nice surprise.

Victor, I have good news for you. A year ago, Kalahari built a new sports bar right beside the business center at the entrance to the convention center.

I don't need the bar to be close to the convention center. I need the seating to be close to the floor......

Are we going to have a "Happy 20th Birthday MQSeries" Party Part II?

Will Mr Davidsen (or one of his minions) be repeating the "20 years of MQ" or a variation of it as given at IMPACT?

(Session 2194)

I have not heard back from Leif Davidsen about what sessions they will give.
