I am running v8.0.0.1 - I am trying to add Keywords to my flows to communicate certain information regarding deployed resources. The keywords are not displaying. I've tried keywords as comments and as variables. I've tried techniques that I've used successfully in the past. I've tried banging my head against the computer. Nothing seems to work. Is anyone aware of an issue or can anyone report that they have been successful with embedding v8.0.0.1 keywords? |

I do appreciate the attempted help. I've reviewed those help files several times. Are you posting them suggesting there is something hidden in them?
I've opened the .cmf file and confirmed the keywords are present. In the help file it discusses 'keyword resolution' as something that can be turned on or off, but I couldn't find where it mentions how one might turn it on and/or off. Anyone have an idea as to how to accomplish this? |

What happens after you applied the 8.0.0.2 fix pack to your toolkit and marked the effective level on the runtime to 8.0.0.2? The mouse said, to Mr. Ballmer, "Who moved my cheese? DOS works great, 16-bit Windows makes it pretty, but what is this Start button? And now the Start button is gone from Windows 8?!?!" _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

Well inMo, I do have v8.0.0.2 installed, and you are right, the keywords aren't visible there either. (I tried it because not a single APAR mentioned as being fixed in FP2 had anything to do with keywords).
I hadn't actually bothered with keywords before, so on a test flow's ESQL, I added a comment line:
-- $MQSI Original Author = Neal MQSI$
I did this on both v6.1 and v8.0.0.2 Toolkits, rebuilt and deployed their respective barfiles. Then clicked on the deployed flow.
On v6.1, "Original Author" and "Neal" showed up under Properties, Keywords.
On v8.0.0.2, nada. I also clicked on the ESQL, still nothing, the only keyword listed was the BAR.
I suggest you file a PMR. |

What happens if you look for keywords in MBExplorer, rather than in Toolkit?
That is, if you use the administrative tool to view administrative aids on administrative functions, rather than the developer's tool? |

Ah, good point! I was going to look there but forgot. The keyword DOES show up. Not when I click on the flow, but when I click on the esql module where the keyword was declared. Only.
I had added the keyword first to the esql of a subflow in a library, then also to to the flow using the subflow (which forced me to add a disconnected filter node as the main test flow had no esql originally). The keywords showed up in both ESQLs, but not totally correctly. For some reason, a comma was added after the value "Neal", evidently the Explorer lists more than one declared keyword on a "Keywords" line, returning, under the Values heading, Original Author=Neal,
On v6.1, Original Author was listed as a Property, Neal as a value.

Using mqsilist (d2) against the EG I can see the keywords reported in a single keyword pair per line layout (which is a nice layout )
Using MBExplorer I can see a single line called keywords where all of the keywords are listed on the same line. (Usable but not as nice as the previous toolkit layout )
Using Toolkit - No keywords are displayed
We are planing to communicate certain aspects of deployed code via keywords to both administrators and developers, so toolkit sure would be helpful. |
