Hi,
I heard that 'it's only appropriate to use fat client for accessing clear case dynamic views'. As a reply to my question why Message Broker Toolkit is not used for accessing clear case.
I haven't been using Clear case for years, so I need to ask those who have: does this mean that Message Broker Toolkit in fact doesn't integrate very well with ClearCase? |

Yes, ClearCase works extremely well with any Eclipse-based tool, including Message Broker. Why would it not? How hard can it be to check-in or check-out files?
Regarding Dynamic Views, as a developer, I would shudder to think that an immediate check-in from someone else's workspace would populate into mine as I am trying to develop my own code. In ClearCase, there are two view types: (1) "Development View" and (2) "Dynamic View". There is a reason why they call it "Development View". _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

We use CC with toolkit perfectly well. We use snapsnot views however but that's for practical reasons (vs dynamic) rather than a technological restriction/choice. |
