hey,
odd problem here with wmb 8001 on windows.
message flow that worked just fine on wmb 7003 acting weird after porting to wmb 8001. specifically, when the msgflow throws an exception that is caught by SOAPInput node (which i verify in debugger), the exception list and message root is not propagated thru the failure terminal (or the catch terminal for that matter). i verified that the "route inbound processing failures to failure terminal" property is set but makes no difference.
for the record, the failure, timeout, and catch terminals of the soapinput node are routed to a subflow within a libarary ('WMB_COMMON3_lib') that is referenced in the application. below is the dump of mqsilist to prove the subflow is there ('com.fmr.wmb.common.exception.COMMON_ExceptionHandling.subflow).
any thoughts?

8002 will be out shortly. It has a myriad of fixes in it, including some fixes related to how the message flows find the libraries, subflows and applications. You might open a PMR if you want the fixes before July.

Make sure you do an "inline" compile. There is a known defect with subflows @ 8.0.0.1

Are you trying to hint that 8.0.0.2 won't be available until July?

I *really* hope not. Some of us are desperate for some of the proposed fixes and it was slated for Q1/13. At WUG last week I tried to get some indication from various IBM reps, but none would offer any, other than to say there would be a slew of announcements at Impact ! |

Does 8.0.0.1 still have user trace?
The debugger shows you what is happening, the user trace may offer clues as to why; perhaps an "Unable to resolve sub-flow reference" or "Invalid exception tree". Or the one I hate - "Unknown error"
All, some or none of these may be actual messages from 8.0.0.1. I'm just saying, once again, that the user trace has more information than the debugger & is useful for this kind of thorny problem.

thanks to all for your replies.
ultimately, i had to convert the .subflow to .msgflow for this to work properly which is clearly a defect. PMR will be opened to address this with IBM as we await 8.0.0.2 |
