The Infocenter topic on 'Using multiple brokers for record and replay' (Task topic bj23710) is confusing in regards to the statement "You must use the same broker to create the DataCaptureStore and the DataCaptureSource configurable services." I want a message flow running on Broker 1 to emit Events that are captured and stored by my egForRecord Exec Group on Broker 2 via MQ cluster pub/sub.
You'd think DataCaptureSource would be defined on Broker 1 and DataCaptureStore would be defined on Broker 2. Can anybody explain this and give sample confurable service definitions for both Brokers?
In addition a discussion and sample MQ objects to set up a cluster pub/sub relationship between the two Brokers would be nice. |

The answer to my configurable services question is in the diagram at the top of Task topic bj23710. The two configurable services ARE on Broker 2.
On Broker 2 you define the DataCaptureSource service and specify the Topic string for the Events that are published by Broker 1.
Configuration of MQ is needed, too, to enable the published Event to flow from Broker 1 to Broker2. |

Yeah, I reviewed this.
Both services are defined on the consumer of the subscription, not on the publisher.
The Source defines the topic to listen to and the Store defines the database to record into.
The subscription is registered against the consumer queue manager, which is part of the pub/sub network, so that the publisher queue manager knows where to send messages. |

| Is it mandatory to define the topics specifically before creating DataCaptureStore and DataCaptureSource ? |
