Hey all. I have written a very simple MDB that gets a message and it works fine. But, then I need to take that message and call a CMP entity bean from the MDB. I get a weird, long stack trace. (I use WAS5 and WSAD5) If I use a session bean to call the entity bean, I have no issues.
Basically, can someone tell me what is required to have an mdb call/create cmp entity beans? |

It needs an XA data source. |

do u have two projects one for MDB and the other for CMP, since MDB does not have to be deployed? I wonder how you structured your projects. post your stacks so that i can see it. |

I fixed the problem. You need to define your database as an XA database instead of just a normal one. I used the DB2 XA driver. It now works. |
