Hi,
Is there only one qmgr process writing to the log for persistent message? if so, which means even if there is a high speed i/o disk inplace, it still depend mainly on how fast the single process can write?
Thanks. |

I can not tell u whether qmgr generates many threads for writing the incoming persistent message, but what I can tell u is that a process is not equivalent thread. A process can have many thread inside it.
Also, I have not have any experiences that the qmgr is not able to write the incoming message fast enough and the inputing app has to wait. |

Hi,
I understand a process is not equivalent to thread. But I dun remember seeing MQ writing to different MQ log at the same time. The process or thread will definitely need to lock the MQ log when it is writing.
I am doing some performance tuning as i am expecting alot of big persistence messages arriving at the qmgr at the same time. thus i need to understand the behaviour. thanks |
