I read somewhere that installing WMB 8 on Linux required fixpacks for the 64 bit version

I did this once before, and had no fixpack issues with 64 bit

However, I only installed the broker, no other components

What is the deal, do I have fixpack issues with v8.0-.0.1 on Linux 64 ?

Applying the latest maintenance is always a good idea.

Also, you will need the 32-bit OS libs in order for the installer to function as the installer is compiled as a 32-bit app.
