Hi!
Running wmq 7 on win 2008 server, running as an domain user.
Now we have moved the win box into a new domain were we also want to run under a new domain user for wmq.
Is it possible to reconfigure wmq to run under this new user under this new domain?
Just trying to configure this throught the "prepare wmq wizard" gives an security error becuse DCOM tryes to ask/acess the no more existing domain and domain user.
Cant find anything in the docs how to do this, can u experts point me the right way?
Or is reinstall my only option?
Best regards!

Have you tried switching it to use a local user, then switching it back to the 'new' domain user? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

No i havent, sounds like an idea i will try that.
But as soon as i start the "prepare wmq wizard" it will fail, so how to switch to a local user?
This will probably give the same fault?
Code: |
AMQMSRVN -user [domain]\[userid] -password [password]
|
Thx!

Solved!
Register new domain and user.
Code: |
amqmsrvn -user Domain\User-ID -password xxxxxxxxx a
amqmsrvn -regserv
|
Update component service for WMQ
DCOMCNFG.EXE - DCOM config - IBM mq series - Identity
Set new domain, user, password.
Update group policies.
