Unable to create New Application in WMBT

I am not sure if this is the correct location for me to ask my question.

I having a problem creating new application in my WMB Toolkit.

What i ussually do is click File > New > Application.
Then the New Application form is displayed. I entered the application name then click on "Finish" but nothing is happening. The button is not triggering any event of some sort.

Here's my WMBT details:

WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit - Message Broker

Version: 8.0.0.1
Build id: 8.0.0.1-IFix-20121030-1656

Go to File->Switch Workspace -> Other and choose a new location for a new workspace.

Make sure that this location is somewhere that your user can create and delete files.

Try New->Application again.

Confirm that there is either something created or nothing created in the location you have chosen for the workspace.

The .log file in the .metadata directory may have helpful information.

Switching repository worked! I was able to create application. Thank you very much

I cleaned my workspace and code directory and then downloaded the code from repository. When i try to create a new application same thing happend. i cant create new application again.

I check the log file in metadata and i found that there are tons of errrors.

Don't check out V7 code from the repository to work with V8.
The migration doc says to use the project interchange format to export your V7 projects and import them into V8!

I'll also follow what fjb_saper said.

At the moment i just imported the project by File > Import > Mercurial > Projects from local repository.

There is one more important thing NOT to forget

When you have migrated check the migrated code back into your source code control system (SVN etc) into a totally separate branch. Then use that branch for all V8 development from then on.
