We are using MB v7 and we can use the mapping node to access the substitution group element. But we will need to perform some validation/checking in a Compute node before using the mapping node for mapping, that's why we'd like to know if it is possible to use ESQL to access the element.
Is there any special ESQL syntax construct needed?
There is nothing special about an element that belongs to a substitution group. You can access from ESQL or any other transformation language it in the same way as you access any other element.
