It would help all of us if you were to state
- The platform
- The version and fixpack level of your installation
If you are on Windows, is the event log full? I have seen cases where the log size was limited and when you hit the limit strange things started to happen. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

He or she said the event log is empty.
It sounds like the windows administrator has disabled local event logging, presumably for some meaningful-but-misguided reason. |

The OP is also using V6.1 with NO fixpacks.
I'd also expect that he is using WMQ 6.0.0.0 as well
If this is the case then thay should apply the latest fixpacks to both products. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

now its getting messages.
The broker error is
The description for Event ID ( 2053 ) in Source ( WebSphere Broker v6100 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: broker, 'MBDB', 'admin'. _________________ Being in a crowd when you are alone is ignorance. Have you taken any formal training in this product?
I am sure one of my colleagues will be along shortly with the links to the courses. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

It's not about 'silly' or 'irritating'.
It's that you are wasting *your own time* by waiting for answers from us.
You don't need training in order to learn things. You must merely *take action* to learn - read, think, try, repeat.
Procedures for installing fixpacks are in the documentation.
Locations for acquiring fixpacks to install them are *very easy* to find on the internet.
Act, don't ask. |
