Hi All,

I have multi instance QM1 in two servers S1 and S2. I have used the below command for displaying the active instance of QM, it shows the active and standby qm in the servers as like below.

dspmq -x -o standby
QMNAME (QM1)
INSTANCE (S1) MODE(Active)
INSTANCE (S2) MODE(Standby)

When I used the same command after the server S1 went down, it doesn't show about the server S1 details in the command prompt.

dspmq -x -o standby
QMNAME (QM1)
INSTANCE (S2) MODE(Active)

How can I find the S1 server details ( though it went down ) is also having the other instance of QM1 ?

you need to start the inactive instance using the below command
strmqm -x QMGRName.

so that it will start as stand by otherwise it will be in Running else Where state.
Once you start the Inactive instance you will be able to see the Stand by server details again.

(or)

dspmq -x on the S1 will give the details you are looking for.
