Good afternoon,
we are migrating from WBI 5.0.8 to 8.0 version. We have some problems when we attempt to open esql files with the 8.0 version. I'll give you an example:
In toolkit 5.0.8 we have this piece of esql:
='Código de error
In toolkit 8.0 the sentence above is:
='C�digo de error
We have a thousand flows with esqls which have the same problem
Is there any way to avoid it?

Sounds like an encoding issue to me! Is there a way to set the encoding which your documents use in WBI 5 (I have never used it...) ?
Alternatively, in the v8 toolkit, if you right click on the esql file, select properties, resources tab, there is a drop down where you can set the encoding of the document. You might be able to find one which displays your data correctly.
I would endeavor to convert your documents from whatever encoding they are to UTF-8 if the above advice doesnt help (There are no doubt tools which will do this for you) |

You cannot migrate from WBI V5 to WMB V8. You must migrate from WBI V5 to WMB V6.1 and then to WMB V8.
Read the Info Centre on Migration. |
