In many other threads, we discussed possible cache mechanisms for WMB.

Based on the eXtremeScale trial software available here: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/ws/wsdg/ I was successful at creating a network data grid that shares cache between any application, such as WAS, WMB, .Net, etc.

My network cache is hosted in a Tomcat server, but you can host it within a WAS or WMB container just as easily.

The best part, IMHO, is how lightweight it is: about five lines of code to insert or retrieve a cache object.
