If possible, could you please shed some light on why I am getting issues with q/qload/rfhutilc on Windows 7 with MQSeries 7.5 client?

The channel table is defined via the system environmental variables:

mqchlib= C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\WebSphere MQ
mqchltab=AMQCLCHL.TAB
mqsslkeyr=C:\mqsslrepository\key

The channel table file is good because it is used elsewhere with MQSeries 7.0.1.9 without issue.

Attempts to invoke q or qload generate the following. What is odd is it works on some queue managers but not others.

M:\>q -m MQGWS -o ADMIN.TEST.Q -ap
MQSeries Q Program by Paul Clarke [ V5.0.0 Build:Jul 15 2008 ]
Connecting ...failed.
MQCONN on object 'MQGWS' returned 2058 QMgr name error..

M:\>q -m BFID1 -o ADMIN.TEST.Q -ap
MQSeries Q Program by Paul Clarke [ V5.0.0 Build:Jul 15 2008 ]
Connecting ...connected to 'BFID1'.
>end
>
>^C

The target queue managers show nothing in the logs and the security exits attached to the channel defined in the CCDT show no incoming connection attempts.

Any insight you can provide on this would be greatly appreciated.

Is this qmgr new? Is the channel new? Is SSL new?

Is the table exactly where you specified in the environment variable?

The queue managers and channels have been around for years.

We use SSL but I confirmed the location

M:\>echo %mqsslkeyr%
C:\mqsslrepository\key

M:\>echo %mqchlib%
C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\WebSphere MQ

M:\>echo %mqchltab%
AMQCLCHL.TAB

M:\>dir "c:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\WebSphere MQ\AMQCLCHL.TAB"
Volume in drive C is OSDisk
Volume Serial Number is 3CBD-B4DD

Directory of c:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\WebSphere MQ

11/18/2012 08:53 AM 97,086 AMQCLCHL.TAB
1 File(s) 97,086 bytes
0 Dir(s) 403,094,323,200 bytes free

M:\>

I did some additional testing and it appears the first two entries in the channel table resolve correclty.

Anything after that fails to find the queue manager.

Very strange but this tells me channel table is being found and SSL is being used.
