When trying to stop broker i receive error message:
BIP8016E: Unable to stop component.

I can also see from services that broker component has status stopping, and has been in this status since yesterday.

Any idea what could cause this isssue.

I have also tried mqsistop -i MYBRK, but broker is still not stopping.
Only way to stop BRK service is to reboot.
Yes this is windows env

c:\>mqsistop MYBRK
BIP8016E: Unable to stop component.
A request to stop this component was refused.
Investigate the reason for this failure and reissue the command. The problem may be that the component was in the proce
ss of being stopped or started, in this case just reissue the command. It may be that the command could not be issued b
ecause of insufficient userid permissions. If you are unable to resolve the problem, contact your IBM support center.

Killing the process did not resolve the issue. You don't know why it happened, you don't know how to prevent it happening again.

Any chance that the debugger for one of the message flows in the E.G was active on someone's toolkit?

Was the dataflowengine process consuming a high amount of memory/CPU constantly? If yes, it could even be a simple infinite loop in code or if someone just left the debugger on !!

There have been very very rare instances when the debug session was disconnected in the toolkit but somehow the thread was active which caused the messageflow to just hang about. No input messages were picked either. Force restarting the E.G always helped
