when I copy that .metadata. then i adds all java, message set, and two main flows but does not add subflow. the error is as i mentioned above.

I am not sure what is causing this issue. I would appreciate your help.

OK. Seems to me you are completely confusing the levels. You cannot add any subflow with -o unless you are at WMB level 8. You say you are at level 6.1. The subflow gets in-lined into the mainflow and you only specify the -o for the mainflow...

Can you show the command line that produced these error messages?
Also to add a subflow to a bar file at level 8, I believe it has to have the name of *.subflow, not *.msgflow....

Now if those are genuine errors at level 6.1 and you did not add the subflows to the -o command, I would seriously check if the subflows are built correctly... or referenced correctly

Have fun

these are the command I use
%COMMAND% -b XXXX.bar -cleanBuild -data %WS% -p %P1% %P2% %P3% %P4% %P5% %P6% %P7% %P8% %P9% %P10% %P12% -o %F1% %F2% %MS%

I used this command with and without subflow being pointed with -o.

all P1 ,p2 etc are the project of all deployable artifacts
F1 and F2 are the main flows
MS is the message set

if I compile( create bar ) with .metadata directory, it works fine.

The command completes successfully.
The bar contains the following artifacts
all java projects
two main flows
message set

when I looked at the broker.xml, i can see the entries for main flows as compiled messge flows, but I can only see properties items for for the subflows. I think this is alright.

It means it is working with toolkit workspace successfully.
But I when create a new workspace and put all artifacts as it is, it errors out for classpath, and java project

ERROR:

Processing file .classpath
Failed to add file .classpath to archive file.
/XXX_JAVA is in a project that has errors.
Please correct the errors and try again.

ERROR:

dded to broker archive file .

BIP0988W Error occurred while completing mqsicreatebar command

A few more points,
There are not any exteral jar files
I am compiling in my same machine I have eclipse toolkit. I just copied the whole project without .metadata directory to A new WORKSPACE

Are all the .project and .classpath files checked into your source control?
Are you using an Ant Build?

If using and Ant build try following:
  • You need to be in message broker command console
  • ant -Dtoolkit.home=<toolkit install path>

<toolkit install path> would be something like c:/IBM/WMBT610

Have fun

Both .classpath and .project files are in in each project directory. In fact this code is directly from my tool kit without even checking in the svn. But I checked, the svn portion also has these files checked in.

Again, the code is directly from the my local machine except the .metadata directory taken out.

I am not using ant so far. that is my next stage once I get compiled, I will move into ant and eventually into build server - AnthrilPro which the company using already in other departments already.

thanks
