Hi,

I don't know if my question makes sense.

I have a flow which consumes messages from a queue and route to a webservice. If the webserive is down for some reasons, will the messages be lost, and how can I recover them?

Thanks!

It mostly makes sense. It displays a fairly fundamental lack of understanding of WMQ, WMB & transactionality in general.

Not if you've configured the flow to retain them in the event of error; the default position if you've taken no action and the messages are persistent.

You can of course augment this with something a bit more sophisticated.

If an error happens in your flow, your error handler should backout the message till the error is resolved. If you attend the WMB Dev I training class, the second day, after lunch, the instructor talks about proper error handler design. Had you attended training? If not, why not?
