I have 2 multi instance queue managers (QM1 and QM2) and the messages needed by my application may appear on either queue manager. Version 7.1 of MQ.

I have a J2EE MDB as a client. If I want the MDB to be able to failover over to any one of the 4 instances (QM1 active, QM1 standby, QM2 active, QM2 standby) is it better to do that in the Connection List field of the .bindings or have the .bindings point to a CCDT?

What are the differences in that case? Why would you use one or the other?

Definitely connection list. Think about it and you'll come to the same conclusion yourself.

Yeah, that was my initial conclusion. I just wanted to make sure there weren't any pitfalls to that approach. Thanks!
