Hi
1)
My workflow server is in win 2000 .
sometimes back when i start the mq workflow services it never used to start and says "internal error". what i used to do was . restart the quee managter . restart mq series and try again it worked .
but yesterday i had the same problem but this time once i start . it shows started .but once i refresh it shows not started . i tried above method but no way .
IT NEVER STARTS EVEN AFTER DOING ALL THE STUFFS .
ANY GUESSES PLEASE . WHAT IS WRONG ??
2)
Any body who have tried a online back up and restore of a runtime database .plss tell me the exact process.
i am getting roll forward pending error when i restore the online backups.

check the TP_MON_NAME. it should be set to mqmax. (open Db2 command line processor and do "get dbm cfg", this show you your TP_MON_NAME).
Also check you fmcsys.log and fmcerr.log and post the log. _________________ -Ratan |

Any MQ Errors. See MQ Error logs and look for any FDCs. |

Is your runtime DB local or remote? If it is remote reboot your win2000 machine hosting WF server. _________________ -Ratan |

Vinod:
Incase this problem still exists...
If all else fails, reboot the server(as this might clear up some of the threads that might be hanging) but before you do that try setting all workflow related services(except db2) to manual. In other words, go ahead and set mqseries to be automatic but set workflow to be manual. This could also be an mqseries issue in that, it is possible that mq is simply taking a little longer than expected to come up and workflow in the meantime tries and tries to start, but with mq still coming up spits out an internal error message.
I have experienced a similar issue, (although this was on NT), but the way you are describing the problem, it reminds me very much of the problem that was once bothering me.
Anyways, so once mq comes up, then go into your services and manually try to start workflow and see what happens.
Also ensure that you have all the latest service/fix pacs applied in case that's the missing piece of the puzzle!
Any word on your MQ logs? Like Ratan said as well, how about your workflow err/sys files? _________________ Praveen K. Chhangani,

Hi got the problem .but how to roll forward .??
I ran the fmczchk on -y backup
FMC34503E: SQLConnect: [CLI Driver] SQL1117N A connection to or activation of d
atabase "BACKUP" cannot be made because of ROLL-FORWARD PENDING.
FMC34700I: ==> Service Control Manager configuration.
I tried a online backup on the database backup .
Now how do i get out of roll forward pending state.?? _________________ Vinod sasidharan

In DB2 Control Centre, on right click on database, there is option "Stop Roll-Forward"..I dont know the SQL command..you can try it.
But if its the production enviournment and something goes wrong, dont blame me _________________
