I am doing some discovery work in WMB v8 using a local broker on windows. I have my first problem where I'd like to step through the msgflow using the debugger.
Using what I believe to be the same techniques I have used extensively in pre-v8 versions, I cannot get the debugger to catch the message on any break points I set.
I was just wondering if there is anything different abouy v8 debugging that I need to consider, or should the same techniques from v7 apply? |

As far as I know, the same techniques should apply and the same methods are used.
Are you sure you restarted the EG after you enabled debugging? Are you sure you attached the projects to the debug configuration? |

If I recall, you prefer Trace Nodes. I for one find the debugger, when working, an invaluable tool.
If anyone is interested, the root of my particular problem seems related to a message flow that accepts a message and immediately calls a subflow, but of extension 'msgflow'. My experience, correct or not, seems to suggest the debugger will not pickup a breakpoint on this setup.
When I rebuilt the subflow using the type 'subflow', then included it in the parent msgflow, the debugger caught any breakpoint I set.
I'm curious if anyone else experiences this issue. |
