Well the example says nothing about doing a commit. It just talks about disconnecting.
If the behavior persists after the commit does the message at least land on the local DLQ?
If not maybe a PRM to clarify the behavior might be in order.

This is a behavior by design. Good or not.

Pedantically that's the wrong link. You posted about WMQv7.5 but that link is the WMQv7.1 InfoCenter. The correct link (for the record) is this, which is of course identical & supports your point.

Yes sorry about that. Thanks Vitar. Copy paste issue

So you can't spell my name either....

We've all pasted the wrong thing at some point. Doesn't damage or diminish the information you were providing.

I am sorry I spelled you alias wrong Vitor.

BTW. I found another "bug or feature" with MQ. It seems like it doesn't care for message length limit or queue limit depth for dynamic queues created from model queue with those attributes. In MQ6 you get an error when you try to send to many or to long message. In MQ7 you don't, in fact you get an OK.
I have not found any info from IBM that confirms this. This is just result of my testing.

I've seen this behavior (successful ReasonCode for unsuccessful MQI calls) in newbie applications.

Examine your source code very carefully. Make sure that the ReasonCode parameter for each call is the same ReasonCode you test after each call.

I'm in the programming habit of having multiple r/c's. I create a unique r/c for each MQI call. Thus, I have an rc-from-mqconn, rc-from-mqopen, rc-from-mqget, rc-from-mqput, and so on.

Gosh. It's a wonder IBM are not knee deep in complaints about v7 with such basic functionality not working.
