I've been given the task of testing the file transfer capabilities MQ 7.5 to replace SFTP and other file transfer methods used in our company. I'm new MQFT and was going through the MQ7.5 Infocentre on file transfer between 2 machines and saw that in order to transfer files between 2 machines, MQ server and the FT Agent needs to be deployed on each server. This will be a problem as I need to install this on 20 or so number of servers - actually this isn't really a problem. Problem is licensing as we are currently licensed for MQ on about 4 servers. I'm assuming licensing now will be 5 x more? Is this correct or am I missing something? |

Licensing and cost questions are best directed to your IBM marketing rep. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

FTE Agents can be installed in two flavours. Server and Client. AFAIK Client Agents do not cost. You will have to pay for the Server Agents though.
