Hi,

Command
Code:
mqsi_setupdatabase oracle9 $ORACLE_HOME
was used to setup the links and they seem to be fine.

However, following error occurred with mqsicreatebroker:

/usr/lib/dld.sl: Can't find path for shared library: libclntsh.sl.8.0
/usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory
BIP2321E: Database error: ODBC return code '-1'.
BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State 'IM003'; Native Error Code '80';
BIP8040E: Unable to connect to the database.

Has anyone encountered similar problems? Database is Oracle 9 - WMQI seems to be searching for library libclntsh.sl.8.0 of Oracle 8.

Does a soft link exist in your /var/wmqi/lib directory that points to your oracle instances client library?
If not you could either add the softlink or ensure that it's in your users libpath.

Thanks. A new symbolic link to the Oracle 9's client library did the trick.
