MQ52 on windows 2000.
The service hangs and there are no log entries. I am clueless where to start digging from. I tried rebooting the server (works many a times for win2000), but after the restart MQ says it is still starting and there are still no log entries. Anybody has gone through this before ??
Open task manager and look at the MQ processes. Do you see all of them ? Something missing ?
Try enabling MQ trace. Look for the errors there. _________________ Regards.

Have you checked the Windows Event Log for any entries. We found W2k and 5.2 (or 5.2.1) to be potentially problematic. A few questions:
1) Do you have any W2k Service Packs or HotFixes installed
2) Do you have any MQ FixPacks installed
3) Ensure you install everything to do with the OS first before anything to do with MQ. After each install always reboot and check the Event Log whether the install tells you to or not
4) Then install everything to do with MQ. After each install always reboot and check the Event Log whether the install tells you to or not
5) Never un-install anything to do with MQ or the OS. Our tests showed that often the server was not guaranteed to be in the same state as before it went on.
6) Is it definately 5.2 you are running, rather than 5.2.1?
