I have a need to use MQ Event Monitoring to send alerts based on a high queue threshold. I have read the MO71 manual and see the example to set this up to write the event to a console. Does MO71 have the capability to send email alerts?

IIRC MO71 has the ability to issue commands is response to events. If that's true, then it does.

It may also have a more wizzy way of sending emails these days which I'm unaware of.

Not directly. But it is possible to locate a free sendmail command for windows.
