we have the following environment setup
1)MQ 5.3
2) Sybase 11.x
I need to use 2-phase commit for our application. After reading the manuals and stuff I see that we need to use Sybase XA for 2-phase commit. Do I need to install SYbase XAserver for the 2-phase commit to happen?
If anyone can please give me the steps involved for 2-phase commit, it would be very helpful.
Thanks,
VSK |

Have you looked at the IBM redbook that describes how to do this? I'm not sure if it's sybase specific (it might only be db2) but it gives a step by step procedure to setup 2-phase commits between MQ and an XA compliant database. _________________ Brandon Duncan

That's right... I'm sorry, I was in a bit of a hurry at the time so I didn't have a chance to track down the link... _________________ Brandon Duncan
