Hi,
Did you ever come across a reference architecture for messaging? If so, what did you like or dislike about it?
Thanks for responding! _________________ _____________

I've encountered several over the years. My current site uses one.

They all had strengths and weaknesses. The good ones provided a point of reference for the messaging architecture. The bad ones did not.

What's the end result you're hoping to achieve by asking this question?
Are you trying to develop a specific reference architecture?
Or are you trying to develop a generic reference architecture that can be touted as a solution to all of life's problems?
In general, the whole point of the word 'reference' in 'reference architecture' is that it is intended to be used to develop a specific instance based on meaningful criteria.
The MQ Info Center has lots of reference architectures for messaging, in the Intercommunications section particularly. It is less useful, at least from the posts made to this site, in providing an explanation of how to build a real architecture from those reference architectures. |

Or, is this a college computer-science assignment? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
