Hello fellow MQ rockstars,
MQ Client is v.6.0.2.2
Currently this client is working with MQCONNX call using MQCNO.ClientConnPtr parameters to set up the endpoint, using MQCD struct.
Now we have a requirement for making our servers more available to that client.
AFAIK if pointing the MQCNO.ClientConnPtr to a NULL value will make MQ search the connection URL in the MQSERVER/ccdt(MQCHLLIB/MQCHLTAB) variables. (mqclient.ini in V7 only)
I have created a CCDT using MO72 pointing to 2 of our MQ servers.
It will take 2 days in order to recreate the same development environment as it was originally compiled with (dont ask..), to change that C file to support passing a NULL value to MQCNO.ClientConnPtr -
I am wondering if setting MQCD.ConnectionName & MQCD.ChannelName to NULL values will do the same trick ?
(both parameters are taken from an .ini file, where I can pass nothing and it will use the default null values)
I highly doubt so, but I figured I'd ask...
Thank you great MQ supporters,
Igor |

It's simple enough a test for you to try... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Don't forget to set the CCDT version to v6 when using MO72 (and where some (or all) of the MQ clients are v6). |
