Hi Eugene,
I have placed the jar files in a folder called as C:/activeMQ_Jars and refered that location for the jarsURL property in the configurable service for JMSProvider.
Actually, if you could specify where these jars should be present (like CLASSPTH), that would be of help to me.

The full ActiveMQ set of jar files should be put in the location mentioned on the jarsURL of the JMSProvider, and NOT PUT IN SHARED-CLASSES.
The jarsURL is loaded by a Named Classloader, which will only load files that end with .jar - so if you are trying to refer to any other kind of file, for example a properties file, this needs to be INSIDE a jar file. Then it will get added to the CLASSPATH. |

This thread was very helpful to me. I followed all the instructions put by mqjef and eugen and it worked. The only difference is that the JMSProvider I setup was for AMQP which also uses properties for thei initial context.
i.e. put the jndi.properties file in the classpath and other obvious ones.
