hi,
I am doing some stress testing on a simple msgflow by HP LOADRUNNER.
The msgflow only contains two nodes: one HTTP Input Node and one Http Reply Node
I start 1000 vusers in LOADRUNNER and it returns lots of "connection time out",hits:238/s
Hardware:cpu: xeon 1.8Ghz*16 , memory:32GB , network: 100Mbps , OS: redhat 5.5 x86_64
WMB Version : 8.0.0.0 trial
any hint would be appreciated. Thanks.~ |

How many additional instances does the flow allow? |

The number of additional instances only controls how many requests can be processed simultaneously.
The max threads of the HTTP listener controls how many requests can be accepted simultaneously.
But if there's only zero additional instances on the flow, that's the problem, and it should be scaled up. |

I'm not 100 % sure, but I guess if the OP's problem was caused by exeeding max threads, wouldn't he get lots of "connection rejected" hits, not "connection time out"? |
