We were given a dump of several hundred messages from our client. It must be some communication problem that the dump is in EBCDIC. We have no mainframe MQ to look at it. The person who created the dump has gone on vacation. We have no idea how the dump was created. Using an editor, we can see MD and MQSTR. So we know that they are MQ messages. Is there any way that we can restore those messages onto a queue on distributed platform without mainframe? We are not even sure if it is CSQUTIL output ? |

Is the dump you received a printed report? A file? What exactly? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

I'd go one further and ask : Why did you get this dumped on? Shouldn't there be some MF application programmer working this problem with you?
How do you know that it is an MQ problem at all and not all working as designed but the app doesn't know what to do with it? And just to complicate things the consumer app need not be on the MF... Is it using GET with Convert? ... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
