So what is the value of your DISPLAY variable.
Is there an X11 server running at that address?
What is the value of JAVA_HOME?

Have fun

Your X11 has nowhere to go.

You need to have something like:

Code:
export DISPLAY=ipofmydesktop:0.0

Where ipofmydesktop resolves to the ip of the machine running the X11 server. Just make sure the X11 server will accept connections from anywhere.

Depending on the ssh setup it could also be localhost:0.0 (as a proxy to the real destination)
You then need to open with xhost + before you su or sudo to the right id...

Have fun
