I have installed MQFM in my system and it has MQ installed as well. The installation seems to be fine.

To understand MQFM basic working I created two folders in c:\capitalware\MQFM\data , say 'inbound' and 'outbound'.

I tried to perform 'watch' action. So I created a test xml file in the watch folder and I specified the directory path as 'c:\capitalware\MQFM\data\outbound. Also the other necessary files I created. When I place the file to watch and send in the path 'c:\capitalware\MQFM\data ' instead 'c:\capitalware\MQFM\data\outbound', it works fine.

It picks the file and drops it in the path 'c:\capitalware\MQFM\data\inbound'. But when I place it in the actual location it does pick the file.

Why is that so? Can someone explain? Or is there something I missed?

2 things to note:

1) If you do not explicitly set Remote values for the Watch Action (its WatchSend tag) then MQFM will use the local path and file name for remote values.

2) For MQFM Receive Action, if you do not override the incoming path and filename, then MQFM will use the information (path & filename) from the message for where to store the incoming file.

Note: MQFM does not care what the incoming or outgoing directory (path) is, it just uses a default of MQFM_install_directory/data if you do not set one.
