Hi,
We have a number of people that need MQ Explorer and it would be very good if the process was as easy as possible....i.e.
1. Download a pre-configured MQ Explorer as ZIP
2. Unzip
3. Execute
Since it's a Eclipse based product it should be possible or?
Does it write information to "other places" than install dir? (e.g. Windows registry) _________________ Best regards

So, you mean, you want something easier to use than the supportPac version of MQExplorer?
And you want something easier to use than the functions in MQexplorer to export the MQ Explorer config and import the MQExplorer config? |

No sure if you are ironic or not but YES, we would like to make it as easy as possible.
We have over 2700 WMQ Client installation within our enterprise, if we can make it easier, less time consuming, less errors, less support,...we save money and can spend our time to add business value.
What I would like to have is a "WMQ Tools" package, a pre-configured set of tools using WMQ Client such as WMQ Explorer, RFHUtil, MQMON,...etc but also tools that we have developed ourselves.
That package I would like to have as a ZIP file that the user download and unpack....ready to go.
Now I should say that a large number of those 2700 is servers and will not have WMQ Tools installed...
So for most of the tools, it's ZIP-based but not WMQ Explorer so therefore my question...can WMQ Explorer be pre-configured and packaged as a ZIP? _________________ Best regards

It likely won't be supported to install MQ explorer from the supportPac on a build server, add any other extensions or supportPacs, and then zip up the installed files.
It will likely work. |
