Hello,
Since I upgraded my queue managers to 7.0.1 on z/OS 1.11, I now have random occurences where after a /+MQXX STOP QMGR MODE(FORCE) the xxxxCHIN comes down but the xxxxMSTR does not.
The only messages I see in the SYSLOG are CSQX037E and CSQX008E but these seem to be normal messages upon a stop.
Anybody have any ideas? |

Why MODE(FORCE)? What problems did you have that lead you to MODE(FORCE)? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

What tasks are attached to the MQM at shutdown? They may be holding up the shutdown. Are those tasks vendor software at the right levels for the version of MQ you are running? Are your home grown tasks coded properly to realize the MQM is coming down? |

Messages that end with the letter E are not normal. E indicates Error.
Did you research the two error messages you posted? Did you research the ReasonCodes from the two error messages? Post the complete error messages here.

CSQX008E: csect-name Unable to disconnect from queue manager qmgr-name, MQCC=mqcc MQRC=mqrc
CSQX037E: csect-name Unable to get message from name, MQCC=mqcc MQRC=mqrc |
These might be "normal" in a MODE(FORCE).
Again I ask, why did you do a MODE(FORCE)? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
