I need to establish a below communication.
1. QMGR to QMGR
2. Client to QMGR communication
What are the firewall initiation direction for QMGR to QMGR and Client to QMGR connection.
My understanding is QMGR to QMGR needs both as a direction and Client to QMGR needs one way INBOUND from Client to QMGR only.
Please clarify |

Why would the qmgr-qmgr channel need both? |

Why would the qmgr-qmgr channel need both? |
because both qmgrs have sender channels. |

I didn't see that in the description. |

I agree, it wasn't stated that the communication was going to be bi-directional between each queue manager.
But it's a reason why the network would need to allow it, if it was.
Regardless, jagathesh should stop sitting around and waiting for enlightenment and instead read the manuals and think about what they say and try things out and thus GAIN enlightenment, rather than WAITING for it. |

Requester-server or Requester-sender channel pairs might need the capability to initiate communications from either side.
It doesn't say in the description what kind of QM to QM channels are or are not required. _________________ Peter Potkay
