Hi Gurus

I am using Type 2 DB2 connection on Compute Node. I specify the catalogued database alias name on the Data Source tab on the Compute Node and it is working great.

I would like to use Type 4 DB2 connection on the same Compute Node where the database alias name no longer needs to be catalogued.

Please tell me what do I need to specify on the Data Source tab on the Compute Node for Type 4.

in the manual it says

mqsicreateconfigurableservice broker name
–c JDBCProviders
–o DB2
–n connectionURLFormat
-v "jdbc:db2://[serverName]:[portNumber]/[databaseName]:user=
[user];password=[password];

but it does not say anything about what needs to go into the
Data Source tab on the Compute Node for Type 4.

Please help and THANK YOU

Beth

With ODBC (and ESQL) the datasource-name comes from the odbc.ini file.

I guess that JDBC type 4 driver won't work together with ESQL (Compute Nodes) as indicated/stated previously in this forum.
