Hi

I was tried SSL in linux OS,Using the Security pdf chapter12.
But I cannot create a CMS key db using GSK6
What I did:
1. I installed the MQ V5.3 packages in RedHatLinux7.2
2. I exported the JAVA_HOME=/opt/mqm/ssl
3. gsk6ikm starts without any errors
4. if I try to create a new CMS database, everything is fine, I can specify what I have to, but it won't create the key.kdb file it gives back a simple error message: "An error occurred while inserting keys to the database."

Since I'm using Java 1.3.0 what was shipped with MQ (under /mqm/ssl)
I don't know what the problem could be. I cannot find anything in the documentation.

can anyone have above probs

regards
raj

What userid did you use to create the key. Try using root userid. It may or may not help. Just a guess.

There is a white paper on MQ and SSL which i think would be helpful. Search for it on the IBM web site. I had it somewhere, when i get a chance i shall pass it over to you. That doc would surely help you.
