I have small questions. I know that MQSeries is asynchronous but maybe someone knows how big is additional time for travelling very short message (less than 1kB).
For example if you test connection with ping tool, and your replay time is 10ms, how much is time for travel message to destination and come back acknowlegment message (COA).
In network of one of our clients ping is answering in 10ms, time between sending message with COA option and receiving COA report is about 45-100ms. Is it possible or there is something wrong in configurations of qmanagers. All channels on the way are running. _________________ Tomasz Dmowski

In my testing scenario I was sending 1KB messages from my PC (Win2000) over LAN to a remote queue manager (on z/OS) where they were instantly routed back and I measured the response time. I got the following results:
(average computed after 10 000 tries)
persistent msgs: 56,23ms
non-persistent, normal channel: 45,75ms
non-persistent, fast channel: 32,67ms _________________ Marcin Grabinski <>< |
